These Terms of Service explain the terms on which My Teddy Tale, trading as MyTeddyTale (“we”, “us” or “our”), supplies personalised digital story products through our website.

By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. About MyTeddyTale

MyTeddyTale creates personalised printable story PDFs for children.

Customers provide information such as a child’s first name, age, story theme, teddy, toy or pet details, and an uploaded photo. We use this information to create a personalised story and a black-and-white colouring-style cover illustration.

Our products are supplied as digital PDF files and are delivered by email or download link. No physical item is posted.

2. Who can place an order

Orders must be placed by an adult aged 18 or over.

If you provide details or a photo of a child, you confirm that you are the child’s parent, guardian, or otherwise have permission to provide that information and image for the purpose of creating the personalised product.

3. Product description

Each MyTeddyTale product usually includes:

  • a personalised printable story PDF

  • a custom black-and-white colouring-style cover illustration

  • a story split into 3 easy-to-read pages

  • personalised details based on the information you provide

The exact appearance, wording and illustration style may vary from order to order.

Our products are created using AI-assisted personalisation. The final story and illustration are generated based on the details and image you provide, but they may not be a perfect or exact likeness.

4. Photos and uploaded content

You are responsible for making sure that any photo or information you upload is suitable and that you have the right to provide it.

Please only upload suitable, age-appropriate photos. If a child appears in the photo, the child must be fully clothed. Do not upload photos showing children in bed, in the bath, changing clothes, in pyjamas, or in any private or inappropriate situation.

We may reject, cancel, or be unable to process an order if the uploaded image or information is unsuitable, unclear, unsafe, technically invalid, or blocked by our systems or third-party service providers.

For best results, upload a clear, well-lit photo where the teddy, toy, pet and/or child is easy to see.

5. Customer information and accuracy

You are responsible for checking that all information you provide is accurate before placing your order, including names, ages, pronouns, story theme, notes and uploaded image.

We are not responsible for spelling mistakes, incorrect names, incorrect ages, unclear photos, unsuitable uploaded content, or other errors caused by information supplied by the customer.

If you notice a mistake after ordering, contact us as soon as possible. We may not be able to make changes once generation has started.

6. Order process

After you place an order, our automated system will use the information and image provided to create your personalised PDF.

We aim to deliver most orders within approximately 5 minutes, but this is not guaranteed. Delivery can take longer if there are technical delays, service issues, safety checks, image processing problems, or high demand.

7. Digital delivery

The product will be delivered digitally, usually by email or a file link.

You are responsible for providing a correct email address and checking your inbox, spam folder, junk folder or promotions folder.

We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect email addresses, email filtering, third-party outages, or customer device issues.

8. Immediate digital delivery and cancellation rights

Because MyTeddyTale products are personalised digital content, we begin creating your product soon after you place your order.

By placing an order, you request that we begin supplying the digital content before the end of the usual 14-day cancellation period.

You acknowledge that once the personalised digital content has been generated or delivered, you may lose your right to cancel the order, except where required by law.

This does not affect your statutory rights if the digital content is faulty, not as described, or not supplied with reasonable care and skill.

9. Refunds

Because each story is personalised and digital, orders are normally non-refundable once generation has started or the PDF has been delivered.

However, we want customers to be happy. Please contact us if:

  • your file does not arrive

  • the PDF link does not work

  • there is a technical problem

  • the wrong file is sent

  • the file is corrupted

  • there is a serious issue with the generated output

Depending on the issue, we may offer a replacement, correction, regeneration, store credit, or refund at our discretion.

We do not normally offer refunds for:

  • customer spelling mistakes

  • unclear or poor-quality uploaded images

  • unrealistic expectations of exact likeness

  • a change of mind after the personalised file has been generated

  • minor differences in illustration style

  • customer failure to read the product description or photo guidance

Your statutory rights are not affected.

10. AI-generated content

Our stories and illustrations are created using AI-assisted tools.

AI-generated content can sometimes produce unexpected wording, visual differences, or small imperfections. We use prompts, safeguards and testing to guide the output, but we cannot guarantee that every story or illustration will be perfect or identical in style.

You understand that the generated illustration is an artistic interpretation inspired by the uploaded photo, not a professional portrait, official character artwork, or guaranteed exact reproduction.

11. Safety and content restrictions

You must not upload or request content that is:

  • illegal

  • abusive, hateful or discriminatory

  • sexual, intimate or inappropriate, especially involving children

  • violent, graphic or frightening for children

  • misleading or fraudulent

  • infringing someone else’s rights

  • unsuitable for a children’s story product

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or not process any order that we consider unsuitable or unsafe.

12. Copyright, characters and intellectual property

You must not use our service to copy or reproduce copyrighted characters, brands, celebrities, protected artwork, or other third-party intellectual property unless you have the right to do so.

If a prompt, photo or description refers to a well-known copyrighted character or franchise character, we may reinterpret it as an original cuddly toy, pet or creature with broad non-specific traits.

You retain any rights you already have in the information and photos you provide. By uploading content, you give us permission to use it for the purpose of creating, delivering, supporting and troubleshooting your personalised product.

The MyTeddyTale brand, website, product design, text, layout, prompts, templates, processes and related materials belong to us or our licensors and must not be copied or reused without permission.

13. Personal use

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, MyTeddyTale products are provided for personal, non-commercial use.

You may print the PDF for personal use, read it with your child, colour it in, and keep it as a personal keepsake.

You must not resell, redistribute, modify for resale, or commercially exploit the PDF or generated artwork.

14. Printing

Our PDFs are designed to be printable, but print results may vary depending on your printer, paper, settings and device.

We are not responsible for printer issues, ink usage, colour settings, paper size differences, or local printing problems.

15. Availability and technical issues

We aim to keep our website and service available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

Our service relies on third-party platforms and providers, including Shopify, upload tools, automation tools, AI services, PDF generation tools, cloud storage and email services.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by third-party outages, API errors, payment provider issues, internet problems, or other events outside our reasonable control.

If an order fails due to a technical issue, we will try to help resolve it.

16. Pricing and payment

Prices are shown on the product page and checkout.

Payment must be made at the time of order through the available payment methods on our website.

We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already placed.

17. Discount codes and promotions

Discount codes and promotions may be withdrawn or changed at any time.

Only one discount code may be used per order unless stated otherwise.

Promotions have no cash value.

18. Privacy

We use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Because the product may include a child’s first name, age and uploaded image, please read our Privacy Policy carefully before ordering.

19. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

We are not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential losses

  • loss of profit, revenue or business

  • customer device, printer or email issues

  • delays caused by third-party platforms

  • minor differences in AI-generated style or likeness

  • errors caused by incorrect customer information

Our total liability for any order will not exceed the amount paid for that order, except where the law requires otherwise.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The latest version will be posted on our website with the updated date shown at the top.

The Terms in force at the time you place your order will apply to that order.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also have rights under the laws that apply where you live.
